The International Telecommunications Union (ITU), based in Geneva, Switzerland, has launched the ‘WSIS Stocktaking Repository of Women in Technology’. This will connect women in all sectors of the information and communication technology (ICT) industry; it will showcase WSIS Gender Trendsetters to advocate and promote the inclusion of gender issues in ICT discussions, and serve as a connecting point for many other interactive sessions that will be held during the upcoming World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS Forum 2022) starting on 15 March and with its final week from 30 May – 3 June 2022. In addition, it can help address the need of panel organizers to find women expert speakers in gender and ICTs. Interested women can submit their candidatures for the Repository, and anyone can nominate WSIS Gender Trendsetters, via the web page: https://www.itu.int/net4/wsis/forum/2022/Home/ICTsGender.

The Gender Mainstreaming in ICTs track of the WSIS Forum is a great opportunity to exchange ideas, network and get involved to increase women’s representation in ICT by 2030. Please feel free to share this within your networks and communities.
