RightsTech Women is a Swiss, non-profit association dedicated to advancing the human rights of women and girls in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
We envision a world in which there is greater awareness of international human rights standards, and where STEM and human rights fields work together to ensure that women and girls can equally be part of the solutions to today’s global challenges.
What we do:
- Advocacy and progressive development of international standards: we advance the human rights of women and girls in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields through human rights advocacy in the United Nations and in other relevant international organizations;
- Awareness-raising: we raise awareness of international human rights standards on the human rights of women and girls in STEM fields;
- Innovation in human rights education, and capacity-building: based on our research and available evidence, we innovate, develop and disseminate tools for human rights education and training (HRET) on the human rights of women and girls in STEM fields; and,
- Networking and harnessing synergies: we improve the connections and flow of information between human rights and STEM fields, for mutual capacity-building.
